The Commissioner for Oath is authorized to certify and authenticate the affidavit/documents and any such other certificates that are submitted by the general public with the intention of certifying by the Commissioner for Oath.

Qualifications

Should be an Attorney-at-Law enrolled at the Supreme Court.

Procedure for Applications

Upon being enrolled at the Supreme Court as an Attorney-at-Law, the relevant application can be obtained from the Reception or the officer in charge of the subject or downloaded from the Web Site of the Ministry of Justice and the duly completed applications accompanied by the certificates and the necessary documents should be handed over to the Reception or the officer in charge of the subject of the Ministry of Justice.

Applications could be collected either from the Reception or the officer in charge of the subject or downloaded from the Web Site of the Ministry of Justice.

Fees to be paid for the applications

Fees are not chargeable.

Documents necessary to be submitted

  1. A copy of the Enrollment Certificate certified by the Registrar of the Supreme Court.
  2. Application for the appointment to the Commissioner for Oaths along with the Data Sheet obtained from the Ministry.
